The Pitch

Be the architect of the deck.

Design software draws pretty pictures. Estimating software counts boards. Permit services shuffle paper. Nobody sells the whole stack — until now. Da Deck Boss Pro takes a deck from the first sketch to a true price, a counter-ready material list, and town-ready paperwork in one place, so the person holding the phone is the person running the job.

The Old Way vs. The Pro Way

Still designing decks on paper?

Pencil, paper, and a pile of eraser shavings — or one tap. Watch the switch every contractor makes.

Why Da Deck Boss Pro

Built by a deck builder. Not a software company.

Every deck app on the market was made by somebody who sells software, lumber, or hardware. Da Deck Boss Pro was made by a working deck contractor — Da Deck Boss LLC, Windsor, Connecticut — who pulls permits, builds the decks, and stands there for the inspections. The app runs on the same IRC R507 code tables he builds to. His inspection record on that license: zero failures. When the app sizes a beam, it’s sizing it the way the man who signs the permit set builds it.

The estimate is in their hands before you leave the yard.

Design it, price it Good/Better/Best, pull the takeoff and the permit blueprints — one visit, one app, under 15 minutes on site. The old way was measure today, draw it up at the office, call the yard, and get a number to the customer two days later — two days after somebody else already did. First professional number wins the job. This is how you bring it with you.

Blueprints drawn from the code book, not from vibes.

The drawings are generated from the 2021 IRC R507 deck tables — joist spans, beam spans, footing sizes, ledger fastening — the same tables the town inspector works from. Build to the blueprint and the inspection is a formality. That’s not a slogan; it’s the maker’s own record, exported into software.

It works in the backyard. No signal required.

Design, pricing, and takeoff run 100% on the phone, offline. Backyards have dead zones, basements have no bars, and rural lots have nothing — the app doesn’t care. No Wi-Fi in the backyard? It still opens, it still prices, it still prints the job.

Cut-optimized material lists.

The takeoff doesn’t just count boards — it cut-plans them, mapping cuts to stock lengths to squeeze the waste out of every board. Fewer boards bought, fewer offcuts hauled away, and the list matches the design you actually drew — including the picture-frame border and the stairs.

One tap sends the takeoff to the yard.

The full takeoff exports as a CSV file — lines, quantities, cut lengths — ready to hand or send to your supplier, priced from the supplier books already in the app. Not a screenshot. Not a photo of a notebook page. A file the counter can work from.

The crew build packet.

One branded printout carries the whole job: blueprints, structural specs, the takeoff, and the cut list. What you designed is what the crew builds — no translation errors between the estimate in your truck and the framing on the ground.

It frames the way you actually build.

The app designs on an inboard beam line with a 2-foot cantilever, joists sized off the real span — not the textbook edge-beam layout software defaults to because it’s easier to draw. Ledger fastening lands at the spacing the table calls for. A contractor looking at these drawings recognizes his own framing, because that’s whose framing it is.

Real colors. Real brands. Real prices.

Pick the decking color and the design view shows the boards in that color — Trex, TimberTech, Wolf, wood, the lines your customers actually cross-shop, not one brand’s catalog. Prices come pre-loaded from real supplier books (you set your own labor rate; the materials pricing is editable, never locked). Homeowners get the same honesty: design your deck in its real colors, see the real price, then build it yourself or hand a decided, budget-real plan to a contractor.

Other apps do one part of the deck job and stop. This one was built to do the whole job — because the man who built it does the whole job, every week, under his own license.

Your customers are never our product. We don’t sell leads, and your job data is yours.

Features

Everything between "we want a deck" and "let's build it."

Every feature earns its place by doing a job — selling the deck, pricing it right, or getting it built.

True-color design view

Boards render in the actual decking color your customer picked — Trex, TimberTech, Wolf, wood, the real cross-brand color lines — not a gray box they’re asked to imagine, and not one brand’s catalog.

On their house, not in the abstract

Drop the design onto a photo of the customer's own house. The moment they see their deck on their home, it stops being a quote and starts being their deck.

Good / Better / Best, one tap

The whole estimate re-prices across material tiers instantly. On the 20×16 design shown above: $16,375 pressure-treated · $19,017 composite · $21,193 PVC. Customers sell themselves the upgrade.

Market-true pricing

Price books come pre-filled from real supplier pricing and stay fully editable. You set one thing — your labor rate — and every design prices itself from there.

Full material takeoff

Footings, framing, decking, fasteners, stairs, railing — a complete, counter-ready list generated from the design. Hand it to the supplier exactly as it prints.

Framing plan view

Joists, beams, and posts drawn out in an X-ray framing plan, so the structure is settled before the first hole is dug — for you, your crew, and the inspector.

Permit build sheet + site plan

A print-ready build sheet and site-plan page for the town, generated from the same design. The paperwork that used to eat a day comes out of the app.

Templates that start the job

Proven deck layouts ready to open, resize, and make your own. Start from a design that already works instead of a blank screen.

Branded client share page

Send the customer a clean page with their design and their options — the presentation that makes your company look like the company.

Your brand, front and center

White-label the app and its outputs with your own company branding. Your customer sees your name on the design, the estimate, and the paperwork.

Seats for the whole crew

Your first seat is the subscription. Add crew seats for $10/month each and everybody prices from the same books, the same way, every time.

How It Works

Four steps. One app. No evenings with a calculator.

1

Design it

Start from a template or a blank lot. Set the size, pick the decking color, place it on the customer's house photo, and shape it in true color until it looks like the deck in their head.

2

Price it true

The estimate builds itself from real supplier price books plus your labor rate. The number on the screen is a number you can stand behind — and build on.

3

Hand them options

Good / Better / Best, on a branded page they can open anywhere. They pick their tier; you already know every tier is priced right.

4

Print the packet

Permit build sheet, site plan, framing plan, and the full material list — straight to the town and the supply counter. Then go build it.

Pricing

One price. Every tool. No games.

Da Deck Boss Pro is $39.99 a month for your first seat — less than one wasted trip to a job you didn’t win. It pays for itself the first time the estimate closes in the driveway instead of dying in the follow-up.

Bring the crew: extra seats are $10/mo each — or $75/yr. One account, your whole operation designing and pricing the same way.

Prices in USD. Materials pricing in the app comes from supplier price books and is fully editable — the exact quote is always confirmed with your supplier, and your customer pays the supplier directly for materials.

Homeowners: the same app designs your deck in true colors and shows you the market-true price before you ever call a contractor — so the first conversation starts with a real number, not a guess.

How It Stacks Up

Other tools do one part of the job. This one does the whole job.

Deck designers stop at a picture. Estimating apps stop at a number. Follow-up tools stop at a list. Da Deck Boss Pro carries a deck from the first measurement to a passed inspection — here is the short version.

Questions

Asked by contractors. Answered straight.

Who is Da Deck Boss Pro for?

Any contractor who builds decks — deck specialists, remodelers, carpenters, framers, home builders, GCs — and homeowners planning their own deck. If a deck comes out of your hands or your backyard, it was built for you.

Will the pricing be right for my area?

The price books arrive pre-filled from real supplier pricing and every number is editable, down to the line. Set your labor rate once, adjust any material price to your market, and every design prices from your books after that.

Does it do my permits?

It generates the permit build sheet and the site-plan page from your design — the paperwork you print and file with your town. The town still stamps it; the app just takes the drafting off your plate.

I'm a homeowner. How does this work for me?

Design your own deck in the real colors, and see what it honestly costs before you call anyone. Then build it yourself with the material list in hand — or hand the finished design to a contractor and start the conversation as a buyer who already knows the number.

How do crew seats work?

Your subscription includes your first seat. Add seats for your crew at $10/month each, so estimators and foremen all design and price from the same books, the same way.

Does it work without signal or Wi-Fi?

Yes. Design, pricing, and takeoff run 100% on the phone, offline — backyards, basements, and rural lots included. No Wi-Fi in the backyard? It still opens, it still prices, it still prints the job.

What's Premium?

A higher tier built around orbitable 3D — drag to rotate, pinch to zoom, walk the customer’s own deck around in true brand colors — with AI imaging on the roadmap behind it. Coming soon at $69.99/month or $699/year. The Pro plan is the complete design-to-permit toolkit — Premium is presentation firepower, not locked basics. No base feature moves behind the Premium paywall.
